Competitors must be registered online using electronic pre-registration system on www.shotokan.lv/online/         Limit of 1200 participants

DEADLINE for registration is 13.11.2018. After November 13st a fee of 5 EUR will be charged for every change except deleting an entry in pre-registration form.

NO other CHANGES than deleting an entry will be made on the day of competition!

 

The athletes as well as their coaches or parents are fully responsible for any injuries received as a result of not using the required equipment! The participants are responsible for their state of health being suitable for participation in the tournament, as well as health insurance!

Equipment is not provided by organizer!

All qualified Judges and Referees are welcome and should be registered at LKF Referee committee lkf_tiesnesi@inbox.lv

Deadline for referee registration is Monday, November 12, 2018 at latest.

RULES – WKF rules

Full repechage and two 3^rdplaces in all individual categories; full repechage and one 3^rdplace in all team categories. Team Kata with organiser changes (concerns only for mixed teams).

In individual Kata and Kumite competition it is allowed to participate in two age categories.

Mini Cadets U14 -> Cadets U16; Cadets U16 -> Juniors U18; Juniors U18 -> Seniors +18

 

EQUIPMENT

In accordance with WKF rules for all categories, WKF approved ammunition is NOT mandatory.

In categories U14 body protector is mandatory.

COMPETENCE

All questions that are not included in this restriction are answered according to organizing and referee’s commitees. Protest consideration – 100 EUR.

 

AWARDS

1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in all Kata and Kumite categories will be awarded with medals and diplomas. 1st place winners in OPEN categories will also receive cups.

 

75/100 EUR money prize for 1^st place winners in following categories:

KATA +16, +18, +35 years – 100EUR;  Individual Kumite U16, U18 – 75EUR;

+16 OPEN (females); Male +18 weight categories – 100EUR.

 

500 EUR money prize for 1^st place winner in Male seniors +18 OPEN(if more than 10 paricipants)

3 best teams according to number of 1st places winned (if the number of winned 1st places is equal, 2nd places are counted etc.) will be awarded with BIG CUP!

RULES

WKF rules for children adjusted by organizer and approved by the board of Latvian Karate Federation.

Wearing a KIMONO is mandatory for all participants in all categories!

 

KATA

In all categories both sportsmen perform kata at the same time with their grade belts!

Olympic system in following categories:

U10 OPEN                               at least 1 Kata – repeating the last KATA is forbidden

U12 OPEN                               at least 2 Katas – repeating the last KATA is forbidden

 

Round-robin (Grand prix) system in following categories:

*Sportsmen in these categories are allowed to perform only katas from the following list:

Taikioku, Heian 1-5, Pinan 1-5, Ten-no-kata 1-3, Geksadai 1-2, Saifa.

U8 OPEN, U10 all KYU, U12 -9 kyu categories           at least 1 Kata, bows are not evaluated

Other U12 KYU categories                                           at least 2 Katas, bows are evaluated

 

In the categories where round-robin system is used each subgroup contains of 3-5 sportsmen, and after group cmpetition 2 best sportsmen from each subgroup continue competing for medals in Olympic system

 

KUMITE

overweight allowance 0.2 kg

Duration of fights

                      U8, U10 – 1 minute or up to 4 points difference

                      U12 –1.5 minutes or up to 6 points difference

 

EQUIPMENT: full in accordance with WKF rules, WKF approved ammunition is NOT mandatory; body protectors are mandatory

–11 years, at least 2 any katas; Bunkai is welcome, but not mandatory!

Round-robin (Grand-Prix) system (each fight till 2 victories). Size of tatami – 3x3 m
